Royce Freeman is 10th in NCAA history in rushing touchdowns.  He is seventh all-time in rushing yardage.

He has had a prolific college career with the Oregon Ducks. At 6′ and nearly 240 pounds, he is the punishing back the Broncos sorely need for an anemic red-zone offense.  The Broncos finished dead last in red zone scoring last season according to teamrankings.com.  The finished 28th in 2016.  With two back formations employed by Bill Musgrave, Freeman should thrive at the goal line.

Knocked for lack of breakaway speed and juke moves Freeman did post a 4.54 40-yard dash time at the combine.  He also amassed 800+ yards after contact in 2017 with Oregon.  Qualities that sound simply magnificent to Broncos fans.
