9. Colorado Buffaloes

As a CU fan, I want to put the Buffaloes higher on this list, but I just can’t do it. The leader of the team Phillip Lindsay is with the Denver Broncos and the Buffs lost a lot of defensive talent to the NFL for the second year in a row.

More from Colorado Buffaloes

If the Buffs are successful in 2018, it will be due to the re-emergence of redshirt junior quarterback Steven Montez. Not voted as a captain, Montez will need to show he can handle the pressures of being the Buffs starting quarterback and develop leadership qualities the team is now lacking.

Colorado will be fighting for bowl eligibility.
