Adam Jones, Denver Broncos

Adam “Don’t call me Pacman” Jones is now a member of The Broncos. What does that mean for everyone else?

First of all, let’s discuss the move. Most of the transgressions of Adam Jones happened ten years ago. More recently he’s been the victim of neck and hamstring injuries, so that’s a cause for concern strictly from the football side. He’ll also be 35 in about a month (according to Wikipedia).

I’ve heard members of the national media proclaim that this is The Broncos’ way of getting their last piece of the puzzle. I really believe it’s more about Head Coach Vance Joseph getting his choice of players, and choosing someone that made him comfortable. Vance Joseph coached Adam Jones in 2014 and 2015 when they were both members of The Cincinnati Bengals.

On The Broncos website, Vance Joseph was quoted as saying “(He) really…changed how he played, let me coach him and he made a Pro Bowl.”

Another former Bengals teammate Nose Tackle Domata Peko Sr. added “He’s really a good guy.”

When he’s healthy he’s been a good defensive back and kick returner. A late signing like this sends ripples through the rest of the roster, as we’ll see…
